Registration is one part of our data-protection obligations. Lawful processing, security, transparency and respect for individuals’ rights remain ongoing responsibilities.
NIMC recognition
S Identify Verification Technologies Ltd is recognised by the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) as an Enterprise under the NINAuth verification framework.
Our services operate within applicable authorisations and data-protection requirements.
Lawful verification
Customers must establish an appropriate purpose, authority and applicable lawful basis before requesting a verification. Provide required notices and obtain consent where required, unless a documented legal exception applies. Acceptance of our platform terms does not provide consent on behalf of the person being checked.
Request only information needed for the selected purpose, limit access to authorised personnel and protect results from unauthorised disclosure. Do not use the platform for identity theft, harassment, unlawful surveillance or discriminatory decisions prohibited by law.
Data protection
Our data-protection responsibilities are guided by the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 and applicable requirements. Our Privacy Policy explains the categories of data involved, processing purposes, lawful bases, recipients, retention and individual rights.
Facial images, biometric information and identity records require careful handling. Use approved service workflows rather than general support conversations to submit information required for a check. Never disclose passwords, access tokens or PINs in support messages.
Where identity-owner alerts are enabled, delivery and any approved institutional exception follow the conditions in our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. An alert or an exception does not establish that a check is lawful.
Review and complaints
A verification result reflects the selected check and source information available at the time. It is not a guarantee of a person’s intentions or the safety of a transaction. Apply appropriate review, particularly where results could materially affect another person.
To report suspected misuse, dispute a platform result, request privacy assistance or ask about our credentials, email [email protected]. Include an available reference and describe the issue without sending a full NIN, BVN, password or unnecessary identity documents in your initial message. We may request proportionate information to verify your identity or authority securely.
You may also raise a data-protection complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission. Contacting us first does not remove your right to approach the regulator.
Our policies
We update published credential information when relevant documents or service arrangements change. Please contact us for information about the scope of a particular service.
